Apna Ghar

Chicago, il

Apna Ghar's emergency shelter houses up to 15 women and children who have survived domestic violence. The shelter's basement is used as a communal space where residents gather to hold house meetings and group counseling sessions, watch television, and engage in other recreational activities. The basement also serves as a meeting space between case managers and individual residents, as well as an area where a volunteer physician provides regular medical consultations as necessary.

Designs for Dignity [has] done so much for Apna Ghar; we can not thank you enough. Your team has truly added DIGNITY to our Shelter. We deeply appreciate all of your help.
